Kelly's

Does anyone know what this bug is? We have been told it is a potato bug. We went for a ride up by Kelly's canyon a few weekends ago with Cal Watson, Yancy Whipple, the Wanlass family, and our family. This bug was a couple inches long, and creepy looking. The weather was beautiful that day and the fall leaves were so gorgeous. This was one of our favorite rides. The fall air smelled so good, and we couldn't have asked for better weather.

Are you serious, that bug is the ugliest thing ever. No clue what it is but I sure wouldn't get near it. I am glad you had a fun time. I to love the change of weather, colors etc.

It is a Jerusalem Cricket, some call them potato bugs, although they don't eat potatos. You can google "Jerusalem Cricket", and lots of nasty pics and stuff will come up. One of the grossest bugs I have ever seen. UGH.

Ewww... looks like you discovered some new alien species bug. Kayden was wondering what you did with it (like did you take it home for a pet?)

Cal Watson dumped his pop out and put it in the bottle. It would've been great for some science project. Sadly it has died.

The Navjoo's call it "child of the earth" they believe if you cross the path of one it will haunt you and want to be your boy/girl friend. I laughed so hard when I first heard this. Our Navjoo employees would freek out and run the other way when they saw one.
