Our neighbors surprised us with this photo they had taken earlier this summer. They put it on the front of a thankyou card. Super fun how our house looks like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Plus it's rare to see a double rainbow.

Olivia just started violin lessons. The girls really want to play songs together. Olivia just plays the same note over and over while Sadie plays a song. They think this is the greatest thing ever. I have found getting them to practice is easier since I can usually get them to play together first.

Ethan is one funny kid. He loves to sit inside stuff; cupboards, baskets, boxes, toy box etc. It doesn't matter if stuff is in it or not he will sit. We call him the human can opener. He can pop a lid off most anything so fast. Any dentist would not approve cause he uses his teeth. He can even pop the lid off a gallon of milk super fast. One day I was bringing in the groceries and I had set everything on the kitchen floor. He had the lid off before I knew what was happening. We often find him dragging the toaster around by the cord. We keep getting out the toy dogs that are made to drag but he doesn't want them. Some of His favorite things are taking a bath and helping mom vacuum.

Fun at the Sand Dunes. We went with some family and basically just played in the sand most of the time.

Tyler turned 4 and his favorite thing to do is build stuff with his trio blocks.

We have windows now at our house. We also have a mommy cat with 3 kittens living in the basement. She had 6 kittens but now only 3 are around. They are good at catching the mice but they are not friendly. Our children would love to keep them as pets. The picture of the truck off the ground was the well companies. Our children thought that was so cool.

Shane had some time off this week so we played hard. The following are just a few of the things we did: camped, got the girls school supplies, road bikes, went to the drive-in, jump roped, played with lots of cousins, went boating, and tried to not get sunburned. I didn't take pictures of the 11 hours of swimming we did at Indian Springs, Aquatic Center, and Splash Park. Our bike ride at Snake River landing. SUPER FUN

We go camping here every summer and it is so much fun. It's dirty camping. The kids live in the creek so that helps keep them a little cleaner. We always go for a ride and this year we had a pretty big crowd come along. We went up some steep hills and down some. Sadie caught a fish, we saw lots of water snakes this year. Yucky! One of the best parts is the food, I'm always disappointed when we come home because our food isn't nearly as exciting. Everyone brings more than we need so there is lots of things to choose from. BACON is a staple at this camp out.

Ethan Lewis Wynn was born Feb. 3rd @ 9:24 am. He weighed 7 lbs 3 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long. Everyone is doing great. We are all sooooo excited to add him to our family. When he was 3 days old his sister Sadie got baptized. She was super excited as you can tell from her big grins.

Olivia made this bird seed ball at preschool. We hung it up on our trees and nothing has happened yet. Maybe the problam is that our trees aren't big yet and the birds don't really have a good branch to land on.

Watching fireworks in Rupert right after Thanksgiving. Santa drives around a few times and then lights the square up with Christmas lights. Tyler had a good view on his uncle David's shoulders but he thought the fireworks were to loud

Since we don't have a fireplace the kids want to make one every year on Christmas Eve. This was the one they hung the stockings by this year. We still put a key by the front door for Santa.

Sadie - "Because they sale drugs."
mom - "Who told you that?"
Sadie - "It says right on the sign, Food and Drugs." Imagine her tone of voice saying DUH mom.
mom - I couldn't stop laughing.
Then I explained what it meant. She thought medicine would be better then saying drugs. After awhile we decided RX would be the best since it's short and to the point. I love kids!

My sister Brenda lives in AZ so my mom and 2 other sisters took a trip one weekend to visit her. He had a blast. On the drive there I thought 15 hours was way to crazy. But then we had so much fun I can't wait to go back. One of my sisters brought her 15 month old son. He was so funny in the car. He only cried one time when he was falling asleep and it wasn't very long. Most of the time he was making funny faces and happy to be along for the ride. Our main objective was to shop. From the picture of the van you can tell that is obvious. We did pack it much better for the ride home. This was taken after we drove around yard sales collecting our loot.

October was a blast. I went to Utah to visit my cousin Bobbie. Here we are outside the dinosaur museum. Bobbie's youngest son wasn't in the picture and the little girl on the right is a friend. Of course I had to go to Rod Works since she lives so close to it. She taught me how to digital scrapbook. I'm realizing how bad of a photographer I really am. My friend and neighbor Mariann rode with my down to Utah and went to visit her family. On our way home we planned a quick Rhino trip. We got home from Utah put our bags in the house and climbed in the Pick-up. Shane and Troy had bought food so we had a campfire once it got dark and eat fried chicken. It was soooooo cold. Part of this area you have to ride in the creek. We have never been in the spring because we are afraid we might get wet. We aren't sure how high the water flows then.

So I haven't blogged in ages. Here's Rian and I after we ran the Teton Dam half-marathon in Rexburg this past June. I didn't know it but I was 6 weekd prego at the time. Once I found out that explained alot. I was thinking I was wimpy. Notice we had to get the food before we posed for a picture.
My husband likes to tease me about this picture because he said we were way to matchy. We were running up to the finishline, all I cared about was that I crossed it. I wasn't trying to have my arms and legs looking just like Rian's.

Tyler's 3 years old now! Wow how time flies. We also found out this week that he's going to have another brother. Our family will now have 2 girls and 2 boys.

For his cake I found chocolate rocks in the bulk section at Winco. We put some on the cake and then of course a dirt bike. But not just any dirt bike one that makes sound. He knows the difference between dirt bikes and other motorcycles. All he wants it a dirt bike like his dad.

This is how Tyler spends alot of his time. Last winter when we got this helmet he wore it all day the first day. I even had to go read with my daughters class and he wore it in the school. He wasn't taking it off for anthing. This summer he started adding the ski goggles.

I've taken my camera boating everytime this summer except for this day. These pics were taken on a phone. It's hard t tell but the first one is of Sadie wakeboarding with Shane. She got in the water with Shane and stood between his feet and held onto his waist. She deepwater started and had a blast. Olivia thought it looked like fun so she wanted to try it. The second picture is her holding onto Shane's legs. I tried changing the picture so you could see her better but you can't. She loved it too. What brave little girls we have.

Last month Olivia turned 4. She's one sweet, lovingly, and determined little girl. I'm not all that talented with cake decorating. But I made her cake into 2 butterflies and then carelessly placed the pan with my art work in the car. The first corner the pan fell over. The cake didn't come uncovered nor did it fall off the pan but it squished itself. All Olivia cared about was that no one blew out her candles. Of course half way through the song the kids helped by blowing out her candles. She was about the cry but we re-lite them, and I'm pretty sure she set a record. I've never seen anyone blow candles out so fast.

Our first weekend back from Hawaii we decided it was time to embrace Idaho. So we rented a cabin in Island Park with some family and went snowmobiling. It was the first time Shane and I have been to Island Park to play in the snow since we've been married. I think we might be the only 2 people that don't ski or snowboard. It's probably time we changed that. The kids had fallen asleep on our way to the cabin, but they woke up with confused looks on their faces when we carried them inside. When Tyler's uncle Larry walked in Tyler yelled, "Larry, I'm freeking out." It was pretty hillarious. While there we road to Warm Springs and feed the ducks. We also saw a mama moose and her baby. The snow maybe cold but it sure is beautiful.

On Presidents Day the kids didn't have school so my parents and 2 of my sisters and both grandparents got together at my sisters for lunch. The kids had a great time playing together. Elisha's backyard has a hill so the kids played on the hill and in the snow for awhile. It was a great day. This picture above is a 4 generation photo. My grandma, mom, me and my 2 girls.

Tyler fell asleep right before the Alladin show started at Disneyland.

I think blogs should just be for happy stuff. But life happens and that's a fact. We just went to legoland and disneyland. Yeah! Of course our camera broke and it was the same one that had the rest of our Hawaii pictures on it. I can't get the pictures off. Gonna have to get a professional to help I guess. The camera worked for part of legoland. The morning we got to Disneyland it wasn't working. Lucky for us Brad and Danielle had an extra one and we did get some photos. A huge THANKS to them for letting us use their camera!!
The week before our amazing vacation my mom had a lung biopsy. Lots of people have been asking how she is. She's recovering great! My mother and father-in-law came and watched my kids while I went to Rupert to help my mom for a few days. I had so much fun with her. It wasn't easy leaving her because she still needed help. I owe another big THANKS to my in-laws for spending the night and taking care of my little ones while Shane was at work. We truly have the greatest family. My mom does have cancer. They ruled out breast cancer so they are saying it's spindal cell. She has more doctors appointments next week. I owe another huge THANKS to everyone that has kept her in their prayers and fasted for her. They have helped her and us so much.
Back to the fun vacation. My kids were amazing. Olivia got home and wouldn't come into the house. She stayed in the garage and said she wasn't coming in because she didn't want to be home. I don't blame her. During our trip she also decided she wanted to hug minnie mouse. So luckily one day right after we got there we saw minnie, mickey, pluto, goofy, alice, cruella, mary poppins, & chip and dale all walk out of a door. We ran over to minnie and got a picture. Then later when we were leaving we saw her again. We also were waiting for family to get done with a ride and tiger, pooh, rabbit and eyeore walked right by us. I love being a parent and taking my kids to stuff like this. I loved Christmas growing-up but I love it even more as a parent. That's how I felt about disneyland. Tyler never even complained when he wasn't tall enough for a ride but his sisters were. He'd stand at the side and wave. He was the only one that cried on the car ride home though. Sadie was super brave and rode lots of big kid rides. Space mountain was her favorite. I think it was one of my favorites too. A couple of Shan'e brothers and one of his sisters were there too. It was fun to find each other throughout the day and ride a few rides together. Jeff and Katie Peterson also came to Disneyland one day. It was fun to watch Grady and Tyler dance during It's a small world. We stayed at their families house. So we owe another huge THANKS to the Lord's for their generosity.

Funny Things

Olivia has naturaly curly hair. It curls in perfect ringlets underneath and at the sides.
The crown of her head is only sorta wavy and I don't really know how to help it. I put mousse in her hair for the first time the other day. Halfway through the day she came up to me and said, "mom do you think you could put some more cow in my hair?"

Hawaii - part 1

We just got back from the most amazing vacation in Maui. Thanks to all our great babysitters so we could leave the kids home. Shane attended a conference in Hawaii so he got some CE done. We stayed at the resort where the conference was held, and it felt like we were in a dream the entire time. We have so many great pictures I'm going to post them in groups. Here we are getting ready to go Zip lining. Something we had never done before and I want to do it again. It wasn't at all scary and we are both afraid of heights.

Brad and Tammy also came with us on the zip line.

This is our group that we spent the afternoon with. They were so much fun. It took about 4 hours to do the course. Here we had stopped to eat lunch.

This is the platform we stop at. We hit the white square and then there's a long spring that slows you down. You can see from this picture the valleys we went over were amazing.

Just finished a run. You can see the springs all bunched up. They would straighten them out before the next couple came. There was a little hiking involved after each run so you could get to the next one.

This was the only run were we walked up on a tall platform and sat on the edge to go.

This is one of my favorite pictures because it reminds me of a very fun vacation.
During this vacation we went to the Imax with the Dorius family to watch Kung Fu Panda. The kids are holding posters of the movie. They had a box full of posters to take when we left the movie. We didn't make it home with any of them. As you can see Tyler was ripping his already. During the movie Tyler walked up and down the isle sampling everyones popcorn. When the movie was over his shirt was full of it. At some point during the movie he must've gotten full because he started putting it down his shirt. We were just happy he wasn't crying.

Surprising Facts
-I love to can. Yes I said love. Nothing makes me feel better than putting all the food in the pantry and bragging about it. Plus, it just tastes way better than store bought stuff.
-I hate the sky coaster at Lagoon. It's the ride that goes from one end to the other above the trees. If you want to lose a few years on your life take your little kids on it. They don't have seat belts and your little kids can slip under the bar. I'm getting freaked out just thinking of it.
-I think Christmas is so much more fun now as a parent, and I LOVED Christmas as a kid.
-I dream in color and I can remember most of my dreams.
-My shoulders and elbows are double jointed

Halloween

Halloween was fun. Sadie was a witch, Olivia a puppy, and Tyler a giraffe. I helped with Sadie's class party, 1st graders are so cute. They laughed at most anything. I told them a story called spoky Luke that has body parts we pass around. Jello was his guts, chalk his teeth, noodles his hair etc. Our family carved pumpkins a few days before, went to a ward trunker-treat, and got a few tummy aches.

Saturday we had a Halloween party with Kimberly's cousins. The kids loved the pinata. Sadie broke one of it's legs off. Olivia wouldn't hit it and Tyler thought it was great.

No Tyler didn't turn three a month after his 2nd birthday, his mom turned 33. 10 years ago Shane asked me to marry him on my birthday. For my birthday he took me to the same restaurant that he asked me to marry him at. He also bought me this book called Remembering Kirtland. It has photos of Kirtland and other church historical sites in Ohio. I LOVE IT! It was written by a man who served a mission there and his brother. I haven't read the whole thing yet but some of the wording so far is the tour that we gave in Kirtland. It brought back a lot of memories from when I gave tours there during my mission. I haven't seen Kirtland since they restored a lot of the sites. I would love to go back someday and see it. When I first got to Cleveland Ohio I was surprised at all of things that happened there. For example over half of the D&C was received in that mission. It was a great birthday and a night of remembering.

Does anyone know what this bug is? We have been told it is a potato bug. We went for a ride up by Kelly's canyon a few weekends ago with Cal Watson, Yancy Whipple, the Wanlass family, and our family. This bug was a couple inches long, and creepy looking. The weather was beautiful that day and the fall leaves were so gorgeous. This was one of our favorite rides. The fall air smelled so good, and we couldn't have asked for better weather.

I worked at the book fair at Sadie's school a few days a few weeks ago. The kids were super good They loved to look at the books, run around in circles when nobody was around, and visit with the kids. Tyler is holding a rock from the display. Whenever we walked in the school he always had to pick up a rock. The theme was a jungle safari.

This was Saturday Afternoon. The snow started to fall and my kids were so excited to play in it. We didn't have enough snow to play in until Sunday morning.

After church on Sunday my kids ran in the house, changed, and headed right outside. Call us the Sabbath Breakers. We made a little snowman and had a snow ball fight.

Tyler turned 2 a few weeks ago. After he opened his presents if anyone touched them he said MINE. I guess someone is 2 now. Today Olivia and him were holding hands. These are the moments I enjoy that they are close in age. Tyler loves to sit on my lap when I play the piano. The girls do too but that means I don't get to play they are. But he loves to just sit and listen and watch. He is sitting on my lap right now just watching. He is easy to put to bed, calm for a boy, happiest when he has fruit snacks and his sisters to play with. He always says rock-a-bye when he wants me to rock him and read a book. When Tyler is scared he says oooaaaa (his monkey sound). He got scared once at the zoo by a monkey and since that day he tells me he's scared by making the monkey sound. He loves his grandparents and is a bit nervous around strangers. For his birthday he got some blocks that stack just a little taller then he is. He LOVES to kick them over. We sure do love Tyler and his fun personality.

Sand Dunes

We went to the sand dunes earlier in September. We planned to camp at our normal spot and it was blocked off. We headed to the campsite and they informed us that the owner of the land was trying to sale it so they blocked it off. We always thought it was BLM land. We never camp with hook-ups so it was kinda fun to not worry about using up all the batteries . We used the lights more this one night then we have all summer in the camper. The picture above was taken while we were riding around. Shane's brother Ron is on the left, Derk his son is on the motorcyle and his girlfriend Emily is sitting in the back of the rhino with our kids. Kimberly is standing in the back with the purple shirt. This was Kimberly's first time driving at the Sand Dunes. Emily was brave to ride in the back with a first time driver. The campsite had a play area the kids loved. Tyler had fun putting leaves in Olivia's hair. We can't wait to do this again next year.

This was a super fun weekend we had up near Spencer Idaho. We camped with Troy, Mariann, and Tysen Walker. All of us piled into the rhino and went for a ride. We saw some deer and managed to stay warm. September has been an amazingly beautiful month. The wind hasn't blown much and the weather is perfect. This camping trip was a little cool though. It didn't stop us from having fun.
We no longer have a bus in our neighborhood so I have been riding my bike with Sadie to school. Tyler and Olivia love riding behind me in the trailer.

Shane has been busy this summer. He started out working on the fence, sprinkler system, and sod at the rentals. Then he finished some projects in our yard. He built a shed and a pergola. Here's some pictures of the beginning stages and then the finished product. I was wondering why we only camped once this year during June through July. These projects may have something to do with that. It sure is nice having them finished. Maybe next year we can focus our energy on growing a better garden and greener grass. Our garden looks okay but so far hasn't produced much. There may still be some hope for it.

First Day of School - Sadie came home full of all kinds information to tell me. One thing she was excited about was when you lose a tooth you get to put a sticker on a chart and you get a sticker to wear. On the second day of school Sadie came out with her 5th missing tooth. I was a little surprised because I didn't even know it was loose and she usually gives me an update daily on her loose teeth. I was a little suspicious at first because she was so excited on the 1st day about the chart the teacher has. I wondered if she wanted to be the first one to loose a tooth. But I found out she wasn't first, 2 little boys lost teeth the first day. She hasn't been able to eat corn on the cob this summer. Oh how we love Sadie! Tyler and Olivia miss her so much. They cried for a week last year when she left for school. This year they pouted and then made a huge mess while I was doing laundry. This is not typical for them. Tyler did most of it. But his sister didn't do anything to stop. Below are pictures of the mess they made in less then 15 minutes.

They've done this everyday since school has strated. I didn't even take a picture of the books they dropped over the banister. Today I restructed our mornings and my house is still clean. YEAH!!! I love to have a clean house. I get a little bit grumpy when it isn't. Probably something I should relax about. I do have to say my kids feelings are more important then a clean house so I didn't get mad at them for making such a big mess.

Camping

This was one of those dirty camping trips. By dirty I mean - just look at Sadie's face and Olivia's hands. The kids had a blast. We went up past Kelly canyon with the Woods. Kira Wood and Sadie hiked up the hill a bunch. It was a last second idea but turned out to be way fun. The next day we took the rhino and found some beautiful trails to ride on. They twisted through the forest then came out to this amazing view on top of the mountain.

Lagoon

In July we went on our annual Lagoon trip with our good friends the Humphries. Sadie and Brinley haven't lived by each other for 3 years. But both of them still tell everyone they are each others best friends. Tyler loved the rides this year. He'd get off a ride and race to another one just like the big kids. The next day we wanted to go back it was so much fun.

Duck Races

This weekend we went down to the duck races on the river by the temple. We saw some crazy people. By crazy I mean the man with a giant snake around his neck. My kids were scared to death. They had projects for the kids to make, a car show, and plays. It was our first time watching the race. The olympics is much more entertaining. The ducks swam a little slow for us. The night before we watched a modern dance company from California. They performed at the colonial theater. Tyler has been beat boxing since. They had a guy who did beat boxing while they danced the last number.

You know it's been too long since you've blogged when you can't remember your password. I'm going to get caught up this week. The 4th of July was so much fun. We went to the parade in the morning with the Wanlass family and then to G & G Wynn's. Grandma had a fish pond for the kids, licorice, and popcicles. It was heaven. Tyler had a rough time with the sparklers. He kept wanting to grab to close to the fire. At least he wasn't affraid of them. Shane put up a tent that night in his parents back yard and the girls and him slept in it. The tent wasn't big enough so Tyler and I slept inside. Or at least that was a good reason to sleep in a comfy bed.

This is Malia with Sadie. Malia comes and babysits for us. She is so cute with the kids, and very creative. This day they made puppets and put on a play about little town. Sadie thinks she is going to save those puppets forever. We have alot of little things like this she stuffs in her drawers, bookcase, or she just leaves it lying around. I have to put things on the bottom of the garbage if I don't want her to see them. I've gotten in trouble with her before because I forgot to hide something in the garbage. We tried putting it in a binder first and then after awhile she decideds what to throw out so we have room for new stuff. It works but is hard to keep up.

We asked the kids if they wanted to go feed the ducks for FHE the other night. Sadie said, "no that is to far." She thought we were driving to California again to feed the ducks. So as part of our lesson that night we learned that Idaho has ducks too.

Primary Activity

We had a primary activity at newly remodeled Idaho Falls Temple visitors center. It was for families so Tyler and Olivia got to come with Sadie and I. The children were going to walk around the outside but it was to cold. The children watched a movie then listened to the Statue of Christ talk. After that they divided up into two groups and went to different stations. The kids were so cute. Tyler put his hand on his chin and watched. Olivia and Sadie walked around for part of it just holding hands. I highly recommend going and seeing the visitors center.

We cleaned out the garage and washed the van yesterday. While we were outside the garbage man came by. Tyler kept saying wow over and over. Afterwards the girls decided to wash out the garbage cans. They were having alot of fun spraying water. The garbage cans stink because of the grass clippings. Sadie went inside for awhile. I thought she disappeared because she was gagging. She came out with half of a plastic easter egg taped to her nose. It's a homemade gas mask. Olivia just walked around with her nose plugged. Tyler didn't seem to mind. He must have his dad's sense of smell.

California

We went to palm Desert with the Dorius family and had an amazing vacation. The kids enjoyed swimming and playing together. We put 2000 miles on our van. We aren't thinking about how much the gas cost for those miles. It was all about the memories for us and the kids.

On Sunday afternoon we took a walk to feed the ducks and see the area.

This day it got up to 120 degrees. We swam in the morning then went to lunch at the cheesecake factory. After that we tried going to a movie but missed it so we got icees in Target until the next movie started. During the movie no one noticed that Tyler was putting the popcorn down his shirt. When it was over he had a good stash.

We left Palm Springs and headed to Manhattan Beach to visit the Blanchards. They live a minute from the beach. Of course I left my camera in the car. It's probably a good thing though because I'm known to ruin electronics. It was such a beautiful area. My kids are still talking about how much fun they had playing with Ella and Cole. They loved digging for Sand Crabs and jumping over the waves.

Next stop on the trip was Henderson Nevada. We went to Brad and Danielle's house. The kids love to hang out with their cousins. We felt like we didn't get near enough time to visit everyone. It was all short hi's and good-bye's. Tyler and Olivia had to ride Acadia and Treyson's bikes.

Camping Fun

We started out the summer fun with 2 great camping trips. My kids had so much fun playing with cousins they don't see nearly enough.

We had an off-road rally with the Wynn family. This was Ron's 2nd year of doing this and once again it was a blast. We followed each other around and tried to get stuck. We got cards randomly throughout the game and whoever had the lowest score at the end won. It was a great game of golf.

We love the Rhino! So far the record for the most people in it is 9. They were mostly little kids.

Sadie graduated from Kindergarten. She's a big 1st grader now. The graduation was scheduled to last 1 hour. Instead it was 1 1/2 and it started 10 min. late. Tyler and Olivia were crying before we even walked into the building. It was a long night for them but we are soooooo excited for Sadie. She loves school so much. She's turning into a great reader. How do you like the random guy walking across the background of the picture? Little does he know that he is now famous as part of our blog.

Olivia fell asleep while eating chips. This was on our way home from camping. Sorry the picture is blurry.

Sadie lost her 3rd tooth. It's a top front one. The tooth fairy didn't come the first night her tooth was under the pillow. At first we thought the toothfairy forgot but then we decided that she must be very busy. Sadie also had her singing concert. She is in the Tavaci singers. It's a choir of kids, from preschool age to 7th graders. They sing a bunch of fun songs.

Olivia turned 3 years old. She got a new dress-up outfit and her and Tyler played dress-up the next day. She also got the movie "The Jungle Book". We had a funny conversation about it.

Kimberly - Do you want to watch your new movie?

Olivia - Yeah!

Kimberly - Okay lets go watch "The Jungle Book"

Olivia - I don't want to read a book I want to watch a movie.

Kimberly - The name of the movie is: "The Jungle Book".

Tyler got hit in the mouth with the swing and got a fat lip. He cried after it happened but was tough about it after that.
